Technology Training
To assist you in learning new or increasing your technology skills, ITS provides documentation and training on software, applications, and systems for all UW-Whitewater employees. ITS offers both campus-specific training by ITS employees offered in multiple formats as well as on-demand resources like written documentation and video courses through LinkedIn Learning.

Getting Started with Technology Training
In-person and virtual live training sessions are offered at no cost throughout the year. You can easily view and register for classes at signup.uww.edu. We regularly hold in-person and virtual sessions on:
- Website Content Management (Ingeniux)
- Google Workspace (Google Drive and Apps)
- Outlook
- Webex App
- Webex Meetings and Webinar
- Interactive Polling
- Canvas (Learning Management System)
If you don’t find a session on what you are looking for, let us know because training is available upon request. If you aren’t able to attend a live training session, recordings are often available.
Custom consulting and training services are also available from ICIT for university departments across campus, at no cost. This service is aimed at helping your department find the best software solutions to meet your specific needs. Group training sessions can be customized to cover topics relevant to your team and to meet your schedule needs.

ITS maintains a library of on-demand written documentation for and recordings on campus-supported technology in our Knowledge Base. The Knowledge Base contains helpful articles on using and troubleshooting campus technology.
In addition to campus-specific training resources, LinkedIn Learning provides an extensive and valuable library of video tutorials for different kinds of technology and software. Topics covered include (but are certainly not limited to) Microsoft Office 2010 and 2013, Adobe (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc), 3D and Animation, Audio and Music, CAD, Design, Photography, Video, Web, and other specific software programs. All UW-Whitewater students, instructors, and staff have access to LinkedIn Learning.
