Nominations for the 2022 University Staff Excellence Awards are now passed. The purpose of this award is to recognize members of UW-Whitewater's University Staff for their hard work and involvement on campus.

TOUR THE CAMPUS!

Would you like to find out interesting facts and have a tour of the campus? The University Staff Programming/Outreach Committee conducts campus tours for staff monthly. To request a tour, send an email to the  USC mailbox or contact any member of the committee.


USC PERSONNEL REVIEW COMMITTEE

As of July 1, 2015, university staff may choose a panel of their peers to hear any grievances they may file, or to hear the appeal of a complaint filed against them. If you are a university staff member, or know one who may be interested in serving as an Impartial Hearing Officer (Grievance) or on a Complaint Review Committee (Complaints), please email  usc@uww.edu for further information. 


UNIVERSITY PERSONNEL SYSTEM

New personnel rules and policies took effect July 1, 2015.  The UPS Policy Committee is working on individual policies and looking for input and participation from all university staff.  Several policies have UW-Whitewater specific versions that have been approved by UW-W Administration and UW-System.  They are:  Grievance, Layoff, Workplace Conduct Expectations and Complaint.  Copies of the approved policies can be found on the  Human Resources page. Follow the Related Links to the left to view additional information.   If you are interested in participating in the continuing process of policy review, contact any of the UPS Policy Committee members for more information.

EMERITUS POLICY - UNIVERSITY STAFF

Effective March 1, 2022, Emeritus Policy for University Staff. Candidates for emeritus/a status must meet the following criteria:

  • The candidate must be an employee with UWW who is permanently retired and eligible to activate an annuity from the Wisconsin Retirement System (WRS). 
  • Retired from UWW after 10 or more years of service.
