Maryam Enterline, who graduated from UW-Whitewater with a dual degree in psychology and sociology in 2012, grew up in Eau Claire, WI. She is also a graduate of the UW-Eau Claire Upward Bound program and the UW-Whitewater Ronald E. McNair Scholars Program.
“The decision to come to UW-Whitewater was completely based on the heart and I had no idea of the impact it would have on my life trajectory," said Maryam. "I had transferred to three other UW System institutions prior to attending UW-Whitewater. Whitewater was the perfect fit for my learning style that opened a portal of opportunities which I have carried into my campus and community connections beyond my graduation date.”
Maryam cultivates university relationships that will be beneficial to future generations of UW-Whitewater students, faculty and staff. She adds, “One thing I know for certain is our stories about how we arrived at UW-Whitewater are different, but our connection is lifelong.”
Maryam resides in Janesville with her husband, Wesley Enterline ‘02 & ‘08, who is also UW-Whitewater’s Sustainability Coordinator. They spend their time exploring all the natural beauty Wisconsin has to offer through hiking, kayaking and camping. They have been to all of Wisconsin State Parks and have a lifetime goal to explore all the National Parks.
