Sean Powers

Sean Powers is thrilled to be a part of the UW-Whitewater Jazz Camp as not only a counselor, but also as an improvisation educator! This is Sean's first summer with the Jazz Camp, as he was previously the guitarist for the last five years with the touring act "Kids From Wisconsin," a Broadway caliber group that chooses elite instrumentalists and singers from all around the state to participate on a Midwest tour over the summer. During the schoolyear, Sean is active in all things music, as he is in multiple ensembles both inside and outside of college, ultimately working to complete his degrees in Guitar Performance and Marketing. Moving forward, Sean will be starting his senior year to complete his degree while his plans post-college are to join the United States Navy as a regionally stationed guitarist. He is honored to be a part of the Jazz Camp and looks forward to the music and knowledge to be shared!
