Understanding Aging

Did you know that by 2035, the number of people 65 and over will exceed the number of children under 18 in the U.S.? With our graying population, it is important for all of us to understand the demographics, and physical and psychological characteristics of aging. This is especially true for health professionals, care workers, and service providers, but necessary skills for everyone who will be working with older adults in all settings.

Understanding Aging is a two-week, fully online program that you can work on at times that are convenient to you. The program is completely asynchronous and designed to take about 10 hours for you to complete. Upon completion, you will earn a digital badge to display electronically in emails and social media, demonstrating your competency in this important topic area.
