To apply for a scholarship in the Department of Theatre/Dance as an incoming freshman, auditions and/or interviews are required. The Department will be conducting these online/virtual auditions or interviews for Freshman Theatre Scholarships on Saturday, Feb. 27, 2021. Applicants should be students who are applying to UW-Whitewater for admission as a Theatre Major in the Fall of 2021. All applicants are asked to submit the following materials no later than Monday, February 22, 2021:

Once materials are received, individuals will be contacted to set up the online/virtual Scholarship Auditions/Interviews on Saturday, Feb. 27, 2021.
Actors and Actors/Singers
Students are asked to prepare an audition of a monologue or two contrasting monologues, which will best demonstrate their acting ability. The audition should 2-3 minutes in length, including an introduction. Singing is NOT required. If a song is used, it should be limited to 16 bars of music. Following the prepared audition, there will be an opportunity for discussion with the adjudicators. Auditions will take place virtually using WebEx.
Students should be prepared to discuss their resumes with faculty designers and should be prepared to show their “portfolio” materials, such as photographs, drawings or designs. Portfolio Reviews/Interviews will take place virtually using WebEx, so sharing the “portfolio” will be a challenge but we will work with you!
