Warhawks SOAR (Student Orientation, Advising, & Registration)

Once admitted to UW-Whitewater, one of your next steps is to participate in a Warhawks SOAR (Student Orientation, Advising, & Registration) program. During Warhawks SOAR you will:

• Learn important information about campus to help you prepare for your education at UWW
• Connect with other new Warhawks
• Meet with Academic Advisors to select your classes
• Register for classes

Warhawks SOAR is required for all new students to enroll in classes. To complete UWW's SOAR Registration, you will need to pay your minimum $100 enrollment deposit prior to your SOAR date. Additionally, a "new student fee" will be assessed and added to the student's first semester bill. The new student fee funds all of the new student and family programming for our new Warhawks. 

• • $175 for freshmen students (fee includes up to two guests to join at SOAR)
  • $120 for transfer students (fee includes up to two guests to join at SOAR)
  • $25 for each additional guest (beyond the allotted two in new student fee) that attends SOAR
  • Students changing to the Whitewater campus from the Rock County campus are not charged the new student fee, as you are a current UWW student

Warhawks SOAR dates for first-year students starting in Spring 2025:

December 6, 2024

January 17, 2025

SOAR registration will open in your WINS account on October 1, 2024.

Registration closes 4 business days before the program date to allow enough time to process the student's account.

To register:

• Log into your WINS account
• Click on the Warhawks SOAR tile under "Student Home".
• Complete the registration process. Your registration is not complete until fees have been paid.

UWW Email Address: Your UW-Whitewater email address is your formal communication with the university.  All bills, notifications, confirmations and emergency updates will be sent via email, so be sure to check your UWW email often!
