Co-Curricular Programming
Co-curricular programming refers to organized and structured programmatic activities coordinated by the university that take place outside the classroom. These programs serve not only to strengthen a student’s academic performance, but also support a student’s interpersonal development.
UW-Whitewater provides students with many types of co-curricular programming. Some of this programming assists students who require additional academic and/or social support to be successful in college. Other programs offer special opportunities to develop skills in certain co-curricular areas (such as leadership).
The reports below contain data on participation in some of the co-curricular programming offered at UW-Whitewater.
ULEAD
ULEAD is a three-day program that takes place during first-year orientation at the beginning of each fall semester. The program introduces participants to the community governance structure, and provides them with an opportunity to engage in a ULEAD community service project.
Summer Transition Program (STP)
STP is a four-week program for incoming freshman students with disabilities designed to assist students in making a successful transition from high school to university. Participants in the program are enrolled in two 3-credit courses held in the summer preceding the student’s first year on campus.
Pathway for Success (PfS)

The program provides comprehensive academic and advising support over the first two semester of participants’ academic career.
