Educational Tech to Promote Learning

Friday, Apr 30, 2021 1:00 pm | 1 hour | (UTC-05:00) Central Time (US & Canada)

How can we make the most of educational technology to promote student learning? Instructors around the world scrambled a year ago to learn new classroom technologies and adapt and expand others already in use. The nature and scope of technology use evolved considerably during this time, on issues ranging from the design of Canvas pages to utilizing Webex breakout rooms. Join us for a panel with instructors who were among the many people singled out by UW-Whitewater students as outstanding users of educational technology. This informal discussion will explore numerous questions related to Canvas and other learning technology. Panelists and attendees alike will be able to ask questions and share best practices, positive and negative experiences, and other tips of mutual benefit as we all prepare for a future that has been permanently changed by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Panelists:
• Kelly Hatch (Curriculum and Instruction)
• Linda Amann (IT Supply Chain Management)
• Lynn DuPree (Management)
• Lynn Gilbertson (Communication Sciences and Disorders)

This panel is part 2 of 3 building from a Fall 2020 student survey on their experiences. The third panel in the series on May 4th at 1pm will feature students and instructors.
