Dorothy Stepp

Hello fellow Warhawks! My name is Dorothy Stepp and I joined the AAEC staff in July 2022. Before joining the Warhawk community, I worked at UWSMPH (UW-Madison’s Medical School) and UWM. I am a first-generation student; completing both my undergraduate (Psychology, BS) and graduate degree (Administrative Leadership-Higher Education, MS) at UWM. Before stepping foot on any of these UW campuses, I grew up in the UP, living off of pasties 😉. I love meeting with our students and helping them navigate this exciting time in their lives! It is so amazing to hear what our students are passionate about, what goals they have, and what they have already accomplished before starting college – I am thoroughly impressed! Outside of the office, you will catch me fumbling through DIY projects, playing with my two dogs (Lucy & Olin) and cat (Ella), *trying* to golf and fish, or traveling.

Advice to New Students: Be kind to yourself! Celebrate every win, even the small ones. Give yourself grace, your best will look different from one day to the next. The little things will add up to the bigger things over time and as long as you are trying your best, you will make it to the finish line!
