SPECIAL COURSE FEES AND ONLINE/DISTANCE EDUCATION FEES

Special Course Fees 

To request a new special course fee, or change the amount of a recurring special course fee (including removal of a special course fee), please use the Course Fees Application. 

Submission Deadlines

  • Spring Semester- Due: to Provost by September 25; to Financial Services by October 1 - No exceptions approved after December 15.
  • Winterim Semester- Due: to Provost by September 25; to Financial Services by October 1 - No exceptions approved after December 15.
  • Summer Semester- Due: to Provost by December 25; to Financial Services by January 1 - No exceptions approved after March 1.
  • Fall Semester- Due: to Provost by February 25; to Financial Services by March 1 - No exceptions approved after July 1. 

Workflow: Requests need the following approvals, in order: Department Chair, Dean, Katie Patterson, and Kristin Plessel (Associate Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs).
For information regarding late submissions, please check with your Department Chair or Kristin Plessel,  Associate Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs.

Online/Distance Education Fees 


Distance education fees apply to courses with the instruction mode of Online (O), Virtual Classroom (VC), and Limited On-Campus (LC), unless service-based pricing applies. Departments/colleges will be asked for account information at the end of the proof process. The special course fee approval process will no longer be used for distance ed fees. 

Policies
