Julie Abramson ensures that all gifts to the Foundation, large and small, find their destination. She processes incoming donations, prepares letters and issues receipts. She cherishes the work. "I think it's great when people give back to the university, whether it is in scholarship donations or donations through the phonathon," she said.

Julie was born and raised in Whitewater and after some time away, she moved back to the community with her husband to be closer to her parents and to raise their two sons, who are now in middle school. She has a love of competitive water skiing, a passion she shares with her boys. They are members of the Minneiska Water Ski Show Team and they perform every weekend during the summer on Whitewater Lake. "I love skiing with my kids," Abramson said. "It keeps me young!" On campus, Julie enjoys seeing the difference that donors make every day. "I enjoy my job and couldn't ask for better coworkers" she said. "UW-Whitewater is a great place to work."
