Foundation Accountant
Tyler Meinen
Tyler knows the lure of purple pride can’t be ignored. After starting as a student at UW-Whitewater in 2011, he took a break to explore what the world had to offer. After several years in banking and accounting, Tyler has returned to UW-Whitewater as both an employee and a student.
When the opportunity to join the UW-Whitewater Foundation as the Foundation Accountant presented itself, he jumped at the chance. “Loving what you do for work makes all the difference. Being a part of something bigger than myself within the Whitewater community and helping Warhawk students is truly inspiring.”
In addition to working at the Foundation, he is also working as a Warhawk student pursuing a major in Economics. Ultimately, he wants to work in central banking with a long-term goal of the Federal Reserve and FOMC. He is working with the Economics Department to be a part of the College Fed Challenge and FERC.
When not working or studying, he enjoys spending time with his cat, Oliver James. Tyler also enjoys shooting pool, playing Texas Hold’em, playing sand volleyball and spending time with family by playing video games, and chess, and participating in outdoor adventures.
