Office of Academic Assessment

Assessment Institute

At UW–Whitewater’s Assessment Institute, teams of faculty from various programs on campus determine how to use assessment data they have collected to make meaningful and impactful changes to their programs. Hosted by the Office of Academic Assessment, this institute provides the time and support for faculty not only to discuss data with colleagues in their program but also to learn more about and contribute ideas to assessment in other programs.

Participants review their program's current assessment status, learn about best practices in assessment, and develop action plans—all while building a network of colleagues to support their efforts. The institute helps fill a gap many programs experience, in which they have made excellent progress in collecting data but require some time and support to “close the (assessment) loop".
