Description: For individuals who are working with, or plan to work with Neurodivergent children and adolescents, this learning opportunity is for you! Through Neuro Science research, Neuro Developmental stage education, and a Neuro-Affirming, strength based approach, this workshop focuses on how to build a stronger and more supportive therapeutic alliance with your younger clients or students.
Neurodivergent Children & Adolescents can have a wide spectrum of social, communication, and processing differences that may result in emotional dysregulation and/or behaviors that are often misunderstood. Different ways of processing information can create potential barriers in the therapeutic process when using a deficit-based model for goals and treatment planning.
