This professional development event is the culmination of years of extensive research in the area of neurodiversity and how to best support neurodivergent (ND) individuals with neurodiversity affirming practices. In many environments, there is a lack of understanding as to how to best support ND individuals in a way that is equitable, inclusive, and affirming. This session will lift up voices of ND individuals and the stories of their lived experiences. In addition, participants can expect to receive a plethora of resources, including those from ND researchers, professionals, bloggers and other individuals who strive to support ND individuals in educational settings and in society as a whole.
