Dual Enrollment

Early College Credit

Want to take a specific course and earn college credit? ECCP may be the best option for you.

Explore all that UW-Whitewater has to offer in our course catalog. If you find a course you are interested in that isn’t offered at your high school, this may be a path to take the course. Before students submit an application, high school applicants for UW-Whitewater’s Whitewater or Rock County campus need to seek approval from their high school counselor or the school district to earn college credits.

The Early College Credit Program (ECCP) is one of the dual credit programs available at UW-Whitewater. This program allows high school students to take college courses here on campus, and/or online. ECCP allows students to choose the desired course of study, but it must be approved by your high school district, and meet the requirements. Please go to the ECCP page to review requirements.

The Early College Credit Program is a state program with policies and expectations set by the Wisconsin State Legislature. For details, please visit the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction.

To be eligible to earn early college credit at UW-Whitewater, students must meet the academic requirements for their campus of choice.
