Pete Vogl
Assistant to the Special Agent in Charge (Supervisor) with the United States Secret Service (“USSS”) since August of 2001. Mr. Vogl is currently assigned to the Chicago Field Office since. He has investigated cases involving access device fraud, bank fraud, check fraud, counterfeit currency and securities, identity theft, and threats against the President of the United States and other protectees of the USSS. He has also been assigned to the Seattle Joint Terrorism Task Force, and WA ICAC Task Force. Prior to joining the USSS, he spent five years as a correctional officer with the Utah Department of Corrections, and six years as an enlisted member of the Utah Army National Guard. Mr. Vogl is familiar with, and has participated in, a variety of investigative techniques including, but not limited to, analysis of documentary and financial evidence, surveillance, the questioning of witnesses, the implementation of undercover operations, and execution of search and seizure warrants. Prior to being assigned as a supervisor in the Chicago Field Office, he was a supervisor on the Vice President’s Detail from 2021 to 2024 where he managed a team to protect the Vice-President, her spouse, the Secretary of Treasury, and the Secretary of Homeland Security. Mr. Vogl has been an Ambassador for the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) for the past 9 years. He has given countless presentations to the communities where he has worked and has also given training sessions to local law enforcement and school advisors. Mr. Vogl is also married, the father of two boys and two girls, 3 grandchildren and two Whippets. He has an undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of Science in International Relations with a Law and Diplomacy emphasis, and a minor in German. He is also a graduate of the Naval War College with a Master of Science in National Securities and Strategic Studies. He is also an avid sports fan with his favorite teams coming out of the great state of Wisconsin.
