Sasha Karnes
Associate Professor

Dr. Karnes earned a Doctorate in Health Science emphasizing psychology and exercising physiology at the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee. Dr. Karnes joined the Psychology Department at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater in 2013.  Along with student researchers and an interdisciplinary team of experts at the Applied Health Psychology Lab (AHPLab), Dr. Karnes conducts research in the area of disease prevention and health promotion.  Specific research activities are centered around using health data to guide and inform health interventions.  Dr. Karnes specializes in developing and testing of web-based programs to increase health behaviors including physical activity and breakfast consumption.
