The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater College of Business and Economics (CoBE) is proud to announce that 11 of its business students placed among the top 25 finalists in the prestigious AMA Outbound Sales Competition, hosted by Insight Global. This national competition showcases students' exceptional telephone and video conferencing communication skills while providing real-world experience in outbound sales.

The competition featured two rigorous rounds designed to enhance participants' practical sales abilities:

  • Round 1: Students engaged in a three-minute appointment-setting call, aiming to secure agreement for a follow-up conversation. Only 10-15% of participants advanced to the Final Round.
  • Finals: Finalists conducted a discovery call via Zoom, focusing on needs assessment and obtaining a verbal commitment to a closing meeting. Students demonstrated their ability to refine insights from the initial call and secure a final meeting during this 10-minute scenario.

With over 25 students nationally achieving finalist rankings, UW-Whitewater CoBE proudly accounts for 11 of these top-performing competitors. Congratulations to the finalists:

Abby Hodnik (2nd Place), Taylor Wojcinski (2nd Place), Noah Bulgrin (3rd Place), Abby Zimmerman (4th Place), Lauryn Seidel (5th Place), Margot Yelle (5th Place), Brianna Kiel, Gaby Matamoros, Gracie Hughes, Kelly Larson, Michael Van Offeren

This incredible achievement highlights UW-Whitewater CoBE's commitment to equipping students with industry-relevant skills and fostering professional readiness.
