CLOUD LAB
We are the Collaborative Laboratory of Universal Design (CLOUD). Our goal is to help support the technological needs of the students and faculty in the College of Education and Professional Studies. Our duties include:
- Supporting computer labs which are available to individuals and classes.
- Supporting the technology classrooms located throughout the College of Education and Professional Studies, many of which contain SmartBoards.
- Consulting educators on technology purchasing options.
Student Resources
Below are the many resources provided to students in the College of Education and Professional Studies. Please inquire if you have any questions about accessing technology at the university, need to purchase a computer or software, or are having problems getting help from technology services. Contact a lab monitor by stopping in Winther Hall 1006 or by calling (262) 472-2844.
Collaboratory Labs
Students in the College of Education and Professional Studies may reserve the Collaboratory Labs, or col-labs, for group work. To reserve a col-lab, speak to a lab monitor in WH-1006.
Computer Labs
Winther Hall 1006 contains a computer lab that is staffed by student lab monitors who can assist you with technology issues.
ACL

Google Docs
Google Docs is a great tool available to students for collaborative, real-time editing of documents, presentations and spreadsheets. Files created with Google Docs are similar to those made with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel. Using Google Docs also allows students to access their files anywhere without carrying them around on a USB flash drive.
Wireless Internet Access
UW-Whitewater has many wifi hotspots around campus, including in the WH-1006 computer labs. If you are having trouble setting up your wireless connection, you may refer to How to Connect to UWW Wireless, ask a lab monitor for help, or call the help desk at (262) 472-4357.
Faculty Resources
Jon Spike, Coordinator of Instructional Technology & Integration Services, is available to assist you with your computing needs. Assistance can vary from a simple consultation to co-teaching a class session with you. Most services listed below should be reserved in advance, and additional resources may be available through your department or University Computing.
If you have any questions about accessing technology at the University, need to purchase a computer or software, or are having problems getting help from technology services, please contact:
