Next steps after completion of courses

Taking a dual enrollment course means you are earning college credit while in high school. This college credit goes with you on your college journey!

To view how your course credit transfers to the university you are interested in, please use Transferology. This is a free online tool to check out how courses transfer between universities.

Before requesting your official transcripts, please check your unofficial transcript for any errors first. To review your unofficial transcript:

  • Log into WINS
  • Select “Student Center”
  • Under Academics at the top, click on the drop box section and select “Transcript: View Unofficial.” Then select the Go button to the right.
  • Under “report type,” select “Unofficial Transcript” and select Go.

Questions about requesting your official or unofficial transcript? Contact the registrar’s office at 262-472-1570 or registrar@uww.edu.

A UW-Whitewater official transcript is a complete record of a student's enrollment at the university and is maintained by the Registrar’s Office. An official transcript includes all undergraduate and graduate courses; this includes high school dual enrollment courses if you registered for the course. Visit the registrar’s office to order transcripts.

The credits you receive for your dual enrollment course(s) are eligible to be transferred to other Universities of Wisconsin campuses, colleges, and universities. However, college policies differ and handle credit transfers on a case-by-case basis. It is best to contact the school’s admissions or advising office to know how your dual enrollment credits will transfer.

  • If you apply to the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, you already have a permanent transcript at the university and will not have to transfer credits. When applying to UW-Whitewater as a first-year student, be sure that you mention in your application that you’ve already completed coursework here.
  • If you apply to another college or university, visit Transferology to see how your dual enrollment credits will transfer to other Universities of Wisconsin campuses and technical colleges. For specific details on whether your dual enrollment credits will transfer, contact the school’s registrar or admissions office.
