Academic Development Committee

 

FUNCTION

To review applications of faculty members for faculty development grants, teaching undergraduate grants, applied research grants and sabbatical leaves, and, to make recommendations to the Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs.

 

MEMBERSHIP

8 voting members (with 8 alternates) and 1 non-voting member

Voting Members:

  • One faculty member and one alternate faculty member elected from and by each constituency:
    • College of Arts and Communication
    • College of Business and Economics
    • College of Education and Professional Studies
    • College of Integrated Studies
    • College of Letters and Sciences
  • Two at-large faculty members and two alternate at-large faculty members, elected by all university faculty.
  • One member (faculty or academic staff) and one alternate (faculty or academic staff), elected by and from the library.

Non-voting Members:

  • One Research and Sponsored Programs representative as a non-voting member.

 

TERM

Two-year staggered terms for the two sets.

Set 1: One at-large representative and alternate, Arts & Communication representative and alternate, Business and Economics representative and alternate to be elected in even-numbered years.

Set 2: One at-large representative and alternate, Education and Professional Studies representative and alternate, Integrated Studies representative and alternate, Letters and Sciences representative and alternate, and Library representative and alternate to be elected in odd-numbered years.
