GenCyber

Interested students can apply

The GenCyber program provides cybersecurity experiences for students as they increase their awareness of postsecondary and career opportunities.  Enrollment in the program provides both virtual and in-person activities including the following: 

  

April/May 2025: Virtual learning with UW-Whitewater cyber security professors and UWW university mentors 

July 13-18, 2025:  In-person residential camp on the UWW campus.  Learn and live like a university student!  This camp opportunity is open only to GenCyber participants, and you are guaranteed a spot in this summer camp once enrolled in the program. 

September/October 2025: The virtual learning continues! 

Who should enroll in this program?  Any student that is currently in grades 9-11 with an interest in computer sciences.  You don’t need to be a master programmer or have already decided on a major, we will explore the world of cyber security with fun activities that spark YOUR creativity!   

GenCyber 1

The GenCyber program is supported by the National Security Agency, the National Science Foundation, and other federal/state partners; this means the entire program is FREE to you.  This includes academic year instruction and the full summer camp experience.
