A Commitment to Student Success

The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater's PreCollege Programs provide youth the support, enrichment, and inspiration that helps them strive for and achieve post-secondary access.

Learn more about UWW's Upward Bound program that serves high school students from the Racine and Milwaukee communities and UWW's award winning summer camps for 7th - 12th grade students.

Programs

Upward Bound Program

Serves college-bound students in grades 9-12 at targeted schools.

Participants for Upward Bound must:

  • Attend Racine Park, Racine Horlick, Racine Case, Milwaukee Hamilton, or Milwaukee South Division High Schools
  • Be a US Citizen or Resident
  • Personally qualify for Free and Reduced Lunch and/or  be a potential first-generation college student (parents have not earned a college degree)

Summer Academic Camps

A residential, in-person experience.  These camps provide academic, career, cultural and recreational activities for first generation and underrepresented students in grades 6-12. 

We are proud to announce that we will be hosting the following amazing academic camps for summer 2025. 

  • STEM Training for Early Engagement & Readiness Camp (STEER) - June 22-27, 2025 (Grades 7-8)
  • Leadership Academy July 13-18, 2025 (Grades 9-12)
  • The Great University Adventure High School July 6-11, 2025 (Grades 9-12)
  • The Great University Adventure Middle School I July 6-8, 2025 (Grades 7-8)
  • The Great University Adventure Middle School II July 7-9, 2025 (Grades 7-8)
  • Digital Discovery High School July 13-18, 2025 (Grades 9-12)
  • Digital Discovery Middle School I July 13-15, 2025 (Grades 7-8)
  • Digital Discovery Middle School II July 16-18, 2025 (Grades 7-8)
