Welcome to UW-Whitewater! My name is Marissa Greuel Hainstock, and I am the Director of Academic Advising and Success. As a proud alumna of the UW-Whitewater graduate program, I am excited to take on this new staff role within the Whitewater community and make a positive impact on student success. Prior to working at UW-Whitewater, I held positions at Blackhawk Technical College, UW-Madison, and was also a K12 educator in Wisconsin. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, tending to my garden, attending Wisconsin sporting events, dancing at music festivals, and exploring National Parks. Ask me about my favorite local artists.

Advice to New Students: Stay curious and enjoy the journey. College is a time of growth and discovery; embrace the experience and learn from every opportunity. Ask the question, dive into what sparks your curiosity, and build that connection. Sometimes a seemingly insignificant experience can have the largest impact on your life.
