Jeremy "Opie" Lade
Welcome
My name is Jeremy “Opie” Lade and I have been on campus since 1993. I started at UW-Whitewater as a young kid attending an adaptive sports camp and have been a Warhawk since then. My educational background includes an undergrad degree in physical education and a master’s degree in higher education leadership, both from UW-Whitewater. I coached wheelchair basketball here on campus for 12 years (6 championships) and competed in 3 Paralympic Games (Athens, London, and Beijing). I enjoy playing sports, cheering on Wisconsin sports teams, and shooting trap or sporting clays. I married my high school sweetheart and we have 2 dogs.
Advice for New Students: Get involved! Campus life provides more opportunities than any one person can do, and trying new things will give you a better sense of your passions in life. Take this time to find your sense of identity which will help guide your future decisions.
