Fall 2021 Course Planning Advising Process

The goal of the Academic Advising & Exploration Center’s course planning advising process is teach you how to select and enroll in courses for the upcoming semester. This will be accomplished by completing ALL the following steps:

STEP 1: Complete the AAEC Canvas module

• If you have not already, enroll in the AAEC Canvas page.
• Complete the module titled “Required: How to Select Your Classes and Use WINS.” This includes viewing the material and taking the check-in quiz.

STEP 2: Submit the Final Assignment in Canvas

• Once the “Required: How to Select Your Classes and Use WINS” module is completed, the “Final Assignment: Submit your Intended Classes for Next Semester” will be available.
• List the classes you want to take in the spring semester. The tools in Step 1 should help you get a good understanding on which courses to take.
  • If you need help understanding which courses you should take, move on to Step 3 before submitting the Final Assignment.
  • If you know which courses you want to take, submit this assignment and your advisor will review your submission. If they approve of your classes, your advising hold will be removed. If they have suggestions or concerns, they will reach out via Canvas and your UWW email with more information and next steps.
• This Final Assignment must be submitted prior to you being able to enroll in spring classes.

Drop-in advising is available for registration questions in Roseman 2054 (Academic Advising & Exploration Center) from 9am to 4pm beginning November 11, 2021 through November 19, 2021. Advisor availability varies and students will be seen on a first come, first serve basis.
