Tayana Tornes

Tayana Tornes is a First-Generation College student from Chicago. She came to Whitewater for her undergrad and majored in Special Education. During her time here, she worked across campus which eventually landed her a Grad Assistantship in the Testing office while completing her Masters in the Higher Education/Leadership program on campus. She is currently a Senior Academic Advisor in the Academic Advising and Exploration Center (AAEC). Other roles and responsibilities include teaching New Student Seminar, serving as the Chapter advisor for Zeta Sigma Chi Multicultural Sorority INC., National Testing Coordinator, Liaison for the Early College Credit Program (ECCP) and previously coordinating the learning community titled “Warhawks of Excellence”. Tayana loves spending time with family and friends and traveling.
