Web accessibility means that websites, tools, and technologies are designed and developed so that people with disabilities can use them. More specifically, people can:
- perceive, understand, navigate, and interact with the Web
- contribute to the Web
At UW-Whitewater, we strive to make the digital resources offered to students available to all students. We have adopted the WCAG 2.1 AA standard as our goal for digital accessibility, and work to ensure our websites, applications, and digital resources meet or exceed that standard.
Additionally, assistive technology for students, staff, and faculty is available in computer labs throughout campus. These computer labs are free, and many have staff available for assistance. Visit the Computer Labs website for information on a lab near you.
If you have encountered a barrier in using the digital resources provided by UW-Whitewater, please let us know so we can fix the barrier.
