Faculty & Staff Parking

Parking permits are now digital and enforced via License Plate Recognition (LPR).  This means you will not receive any physical permit, because your license plate is your permit.  Therefore, it is the permit holder's responsibility to maintain an accurate vehicle record.  If there is any need to change vehicle(s) associated with a permit, please log into the parking portal and make the necessary changes directly under your permit.   For instructions on how to make vehicles click here:   vehicle change
Faculty and Staff (blue) permits are valid from September 1 to August 31 each year.   This permit is valid in staff lots and on Prince and Prairie Street except between the hours of 2:00 am and 5:00 am when there is no overnight parking allowed on streets.  Faculty and staff permits are valid 24 hours a day and the permit fee is $235 for fiscal year 2025.   The following are designated staff/commuter parking lots:
     NORTH LOTS: 11, 18, 19, 21, 24
     SOUTH  LOTS: 1, 2, 4, 7, 9, 12, 14, Prince St, Prairie St.
PLEASE NOTE:   Lot 2R is only for residents yellow permit year round, no staff parking is allowed

Payroll Deduction

The employee permits may be payroll deducted for faculty and staff employees.   Pricing can be found on the parking portal.      Bi-weekly payroll deductions will begin in September with 10 deductions and end in January.

Reserved Parking

A limited number of reserved (red) parking spaces are available for faculty, staff, and students.   Vehicles parked in a reserved stall without the appropriate permit will be ticketed and towed at owners expense.   Reserved stalls in campus parking lots are reserved at all times and are designated with red signs.   The annual fee for a reserved parking space is $535.  Contact Parking Services regarding availability.   In areas where all stalls are assigned, a waiting list is maintained.

If you leave the University and have a long-term annual permit and want to cancel that permit, you must complete a Request For Refund Form and submit to Parking Services.   A prorated refund will be processed within 1 week from the date the refund form is submitted.   Permits are refunded on a quarterly prorated schedule.  This schedule begins on September 1st each year and after the 3rd quarter no refunds are issued.
The full year permits:  Commuter (north and south), Staff, and Reserved (Lots 12, 13, 14, Hyer) have a four-quarter prorated schedule
The school year permit:  Lots 2R, 3, 4R, 8, 9, 9R, 17, 18, 19, 20, 22 have a three-quarter prorated schedule.
Employees:  If you purchased a permit by payroll deduction and do not notify Parking Services, you will be responsible for the total permit fee.  The refund will be based off the date Parking Services has received the refund request form.  Once the refund request form has been submitted, a prorated refund will be processed within 1 week from the date the form is received.
Academic staff that are nine month contracts are not eligible for permit refunds.
