Congratulations #FutureWarhawk! We are excited that you are ready to join the Warhawk family. To reserve your spot and set yourself up for a successful year, just follow the steps below:
Now that you are a #FutureWarhawk, it is time to establish your log-in credentials. You'll use this username and password to log in to all university systems, including your WINS account and your email. Your campus email is the main way we will be contacting you from now on. Check it regularly so you do not miss out on important campus information and reminders.
Follow these steps to establish your log-in credentials:
Visit password.uww.edu and click on the log-in button on the left side of your screen.
The next page will require a username and password. Your username is your Net-ID, and your password is your seven-digit ID number (both your Net-ID and seven-digit ID number can be found on your admission letter).
You will then be prompted to change your password.
Once your password is changed, you can access all university accounts using your Net-ID and new password.
Your housing contract is available starting Oct. 1, 2020. Due to the high demand for on-campus housing, we recommend you submit your signed housing contract along with the $125 housing deposit as soon as possible. You will have the opportunity to be matched with a roommate at a later date. To begin, visit uww.edu/housing, navigate to "Apply for Housing" and select your contract. Then, select "Housing Portal Registration" and provide your UW-Whitewater email address and seven-digit ID number to get started.
The FAFSA is available at fafsa.ed.gov starting Oct. 1, 2020. The priority deadline for submission is Jan. 1, 2021. If you completed the FAFSA and submitted all your required materials by Jan. 1, your award letter will be sent beginning Feb. 1.
Math, English and World Language Placement
While students are not charged a fee the day a placement test is taken, a one-time fee (i.e., 'Course Placement Fee') will be placed on students' first tuition bill.
NOTE: New students are required to submit ACT/SAT scores or take the English and/or math placement test unless they have transfer coursework or credit by exam scores in these areas. More information regarding equivalencies for test scores and retrocredits can be found at https://www.uww.edu/testing/exams-for-credit.
Beginning March 15, 2021, students will need to register on the University of Wisconsin Center for Placement Testing website for any placement exam. Note there will be some lag time when UW-Whitewater will receive your scores, therefore, we strongly suggest you test (and submit your test) at least a week before your SOAR date.
Warhawks SOAR (Student Orientation, Advising, and Registration) is your first orientation program where you will connect with other new Warhawks and talk with academic advisors for course enrollment. Warhawks SOAR registration is available beginning March 1, 2021.
