Support
In 2022, over 700 students participated in Community-based learning (CBL) courses and contributed over 10,500 hours of service to community organizations, including document translation for Spanish-speaking patients at a local free medical clinic, business plan creation for a woman or BIPOC-owned business, and website updates and a marketing plan for an arts-based non-profit serving individuals with disabilities in our community. The impact is not only felt in the community, but also in the classroom: students who participate in CBL have significantly higher retention rates than those who do not engage in this High Impact Practice.
