Welcome to the Warhawk Family! This is a transition for your whole family, and we're here for you! Please see below for helpful resources.
Warhawks SOAR (Student Orientation, Advising and Registration)
Your student is required to participate in the Warhawks SOAR program where they will meet other new students, learn more about the University, meet with an academic advisor and enroll in classes. You are welcome to attend Warhawks SOAR as well!
- Have your student add you as a guest when they register for Warhawks SOAR in their WINS account. The guest fee covers materials and lunch. Each student can bring up to 2 guests. Students and guests are together for the first part of the morning and then seperate in the afternoon. We have lots of information to share with you as part of the Warhawk Family, so we hope to see you at SOAR with your student!
Warhawks SOAR Folder: Your Guide to UW-Whitewater
During Warhawks SOAR, students and guests receive a Warhawks SOAR folder and booklet. This is an excellent resource about the academic colleges, academic advising, campus services and more!

Online Orientation Module
We get it: the SOAR day can feel overwhelming with all of the information we're giving you. We've broken down some of the information provided at SOAR in this optional online orientation module. Students, family, and anyone else in your student's support network are welcome to complete the module.
Warhawk Family Connections Facebook Group
Warhawk Family Connections is a private Facebook group for parents and family members of University of Wisconsin-Whitewater students. The purpose of the group is to (a) serve as a resource for parents and families, (b) provide an outlet for parents and families to ask questions, share comments, etc., and (c) provide an affinity space for families. Visit Campus
Consider scheduling a daily campus tour at UW-Whitewater. UW-Whitewater campus tours are led by friendly, knowledgeable Warhawks who love sharing all UW-Whitewater has to offer. We offer tours of our main campus most weekdays and the occasional Saturday.
