Interactive Classroom Experiences
During the next portion of the program, you will be offered a choice of one of three classroom experiences - these sessions are a chance to engage in hands-on experiences with faculty and staff on campus. Each experience is offered as a first-come, first-served basis.
Option A: Cornerstones for Success
Cornerstones for Success is a unique program that dispels myths about persons who have a disability and highlights how students can be successful both in and out of the classroom. World-class athletes, who happen to have a disability, will "tell it like it is" about life with a disability. Families and Warhawks will have an opportunity to experience use of a wheelchair basketball chair during part of this experience.
Option B: Cougars, Otters, and Wolves, OH MY!
Hear about the opportunities for off-campus exploration within the Biology department, including a trip to Yellowstone National State Park. Individuals selecting this option will have an opportunity to create animal print castings.
Option C: wRAPworks
There are many unique opportunities within the College of Arts and Communication. This experience allows you to create a small memory book with images from your First Year Experience. Some photos will be provided, but please bring your own images as well!
