Teachers Have Class
Fall 2024 Learning Communities
Are you interested in exploring Elementary And Early Childhood Education majors?
Did you know that UW-Whitewater was originally founded as a normal school (teacher college)? Now UW-Whitewater offers over 70 majors, but our teacher preparation program remains one of the best in the state. This learning community is designed for freshmen considering an elementary education or early childhood major. We'll explore what it means to be an excellent teacher and we'll discuss practical advice for admission to the College of Educationand Professional Studies. Students in this learning community will be pre-enrolled in high-demand courses including Special Education 205: Psychology of the Exceptional Child. We'll also get to know one another through fun activities like movie nights, game nights, and pizza parties/study nights.
