Warhawks of Excellence: King/Chávez
Fall 2024 Learning Communities
This learning community allows you to feel welcomed, supported, and successfully transition to campus life.
The Warhawks of Excellence: King/Chávez Learning Community allows you to feel welcome, to be supported, and, in the company of other underrepresented students, to successfully transition to campus life. This community, which lives in Lee Hall, fosters a sense of community, encourages scholarship, provides leadership and involvement opportunities and enchanges your personal and professional growth and development. Students in this dynamic community gain a greater awareness of the challenges students of color face in society and in higher education. By participating in the Warhawks of Excellence: King/Chávez Learning Community, you experience the mentorship and spirit of caring that creates campus leaders. Our goal is that you graduate from college with the foundation of a positive peer community.
