Dr. Wildermuth is a Full Professor in the Department of Communication. She teaches courses in public speaking, organizational communication, interpersonal communication, conflict resolution, persuasion, gender communication, and intercultural communication. Her research interests are in intercultural and interpersonal communication and the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL).
During her 22 years of teaching at the college level, Dr. Wildermuth has developed a reputation as an excellent, dedicated, and enthusiastic instructor. She is a two-time recipient of the UWW College of Arts and Communications Excellence in Teaching Award and the 2017 recipient of the Roseman Award for Excellence in Teaching. This award is the highest teaching honor available at UW-Whitewater.
