CPT Justin J. Hofmann graduated with a B.S. in Chemistry and Secondary Education from Marquette University in 2012. He was commissioned from the Marquette ROTC program the same year as an Ordnance Officer. He also obtained a M.S. in Supply Chain Management with an emphasis in Leadership from UW-Platteville in 2018. CPT Hofmann began his service in the WIARNG in 2010 as a SMP cadet and was in B Co 257th BSB from 2010 till 2016 as both a Platoon Leader and Executive Officer. From there he served as the Ammunition Officer for HHC 257th BSB till late 2018, when he took command of the 1157th Transportation Company in Oshkosh. He commanded from November 2018 till November 2020. In 2019 he was selected as the Survey Team Leader for the 54th Civil Support Team - Weapons of Mass Destruction an Active Guard Reserve (AGR) role. In August 2022 he joined the Army ROTC Badger Battalion at UW-Whitewater as an Assistant Professor of Military Science (APMS) where he serves as the Department Chair at the university. CPT Hofmann holds qualifications for 91A (Ordnance), 90A (Logistics), and 74A (Chemical); along with the 5Q (Pathfinder) and R1 (HAZMAT Tech) skill identifiers. CPT Hofmann has also volunteered as a firefighter in throughout the state of Wisconsin and currently serves as a volunteer for the Sun Prairie Fire Department.
