POSTINGS AND DIGITAL SIGNAGE

Student organizations and campus departments may post items to the University Housing digital signage system. Two options exist for postings, a 640 pixel tall by 980 pixel wide graphic and/or a text-based event with date and time.

All postings are subject to authorization by complex directors and assistant complex directors of respective buildings. Event promotion in the residence halls should be conducted via this mechanism.

Printed materials

We discourage the promotion of events through printed postings. Please submit events for digital signage. Exceptions will be granted to political organizations, commercial vendors, or individuals with items for sale who are permitted one 8.5 x 11 posting per residence hall.

Offices, departments and student organizations with non-event-related information are allowed one posting per wing of each residence hall. Postings should be brought to second floor Goodhue Hall; they will be distributed to the halls from there. Postings must be approved, stamped, and displayed by University Housing staff.

Commercial vendors, political candidates, or others who desire to have materials placed in lobbies for students to pick up if they wish must contact the executive director of University Housing. Limitations apply due to availability of space.

Whitewater Student Government has special guidelines for its elections regarding posting, which can be obtained from the associate director of University Housing.
