The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater (UW-W) is happy to announce the establishment of Intergenerational Technology Services (IGeTS) at the Community Engagement Center.
IGeTS provides technology services for home and community based services (HCBS) enrollees aged 50+ and any adults aged 60+ that reside in Walworth, Jefferson, Rock, and Waukesha counties. Services are offered in English and Spanish and provided by UW-W students, faculty and staff members as well as community volunteers. Services include:
IGeTS is currently closed, and no technology services will be offered during winter break (December 13 - January 26, 2025).
Made Possible
The offering of free technology services through December 13, 2024 to HCBS enrollees aged 50+ that reside in Walworth, Jefferson, Rock, and Waukesha counties is made possible through generous funding from the State of Wisconsin.
Fee-Based Services
Grant funding to provide free services to individuals aged 60+ has been exhausted. Effective July 1, 2024, services for individuals aged 60+ that reside in Walworth, Jefferson, Rock and Waukesha counties will be available for the following fees: $15 for one-on-one and telehealth services and $10 for group training classes.
