International Experiences
Undergraduate Overview
Become a global leader
International experience helps diversify skill-sets and broaden students’ perspective. You will gain a greater understanding of how business trends and behaviors vary in different markets. The skills developed during an international experience will also help strengthen your connections in the business world, whether you are in your home market or abroad, and will help you operate effectively across different organizations.
Scholarships readily available
The college offers non-competitive scholarships to business students to help defray the cost of international experiences. In addition, UW-Whitewater and the college have partnered with institutions abroad to ensure students pay the same tuition and housing they would pay here on campus.
- $1,000 scholarship for study abroad programs, which typically last a semester or year
- $500 scholarship for travel study courses, which include one to four weeks of travel
Degree requirements
Students may worry that studying abroad will extend their time to degree completion. The College of Business and Economics works collaboratively with the UW-Whitewater Center for Global Education to offer hundreds of programs in over 50 different countries. Business students can find the right international experience to fit their academic and career goals and can complete courses that apply directly to their degree requirements.
